Ceredigion is traditionally an agricultural county bounded on the West
by
the coastline of Cardigan Bay and boasting the second highest mountain
in
Wales, Cader Idris. There are two universities in the county at Aberystwyth
and Lampeter, the latter being the third oldest university in England
and
Wales, after Oxford and Cambridge. Aberystwyth is also home to the National
Library.
We have three Guiding districts named after the local rivers of Ystwyth,
Aeron and Teifi. There are 500 members of Girlguiding in the county, in
units for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section.
