Content Management Systems

A content management system, or CMS gives you the ability to update your website via an online control panel. With one of our systems you simply login and make the changes. You can easily update your website with, for example, new pictures and text, add new pages, or upload images to a photo gallery. The changes are viewable instantly.

You can can add, edit or delete text, change fonts, align paragraphs, upload and automatically resize images, add video, audio and other forms of content quickly and easily – programming skills are not required. Our content management system will keep your website content fresh and up-to-date – which is good for visitors, and great for search engine performance.

We use a range of commercial, open source and bespoke content management systems and will match the best system for your requirements and budget. Here are just some of the features available with our systems:

  • Pages - New pages and categories can be created very quickly and menus are automatically updated with new links to your page. The system allows you to manage page content, edit text, change images etc using ‘Word style’ formatting buttons, with custom control over keywords, page descriptions and other meta tag information. Changes made are viewable instantly on the live website.
  • Search Engine Friendly URLs
  • Easy to upgrade – New versions of the system software can be set up to install automatically, or upgrades can be downloaded and installed manually simply by clicking a link in the admin panel. We also offer an updating service for the system software and any plug-ins used, if required. The system is regularly updated with free upgrades, and thousands of compatable plug-ins are available online providing new features for your websites, free of charge.
  • Typography - Our system uses the Texturize engine to intelligently convert plain ASCII into typographically correct XHTML entities. This includes quotes, apostrophes, ellipses, em and en dashes, multiplication symbols, and ampersands.
  • Future/expiring entries – You can set an entry and expiration date and your entries will be published or removed from your site automatically on that date – useful for news and events
  • Password protected posts and pages – You can add passwords to individual posts and pages to hide them from the public. You can also have private posts which are viewable only by their author or assigned members.

  • Template themes – We use a template system so changes made to templates or entries are reflected immediately across your website, with no need for regenerating and rebuilding static pages. Templates are saved as ‘themes’ so you can have multiple themes with totally different looks that you can switch with a single click.

You can optionally close comments or hide posts and pages from non-registered users. Visitor details can be accessed used for promotional marketing.

Training and support

Once content has been added to your website, we will contact you to arrange a training session. During this session we can also show you how to make any amendments to your website content before going live. Our content management systems are very easy to use, but we also provide full instructions on how to use them and our quotes also include a full training session, and once the website is live we also provide free email and telephone support.
